At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:

Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)

Make your choice! Please remember that though we are closely monitoring services, we are still an agency marketplace - meaning we focus on ticketing service and route availability / coverage rather than on factual seat recline angle you got today ^_^

We bought tickets from Hanoi to Sapa by night. The bus was a sleeping bus, new and confortable. They arrive at time (3'30 am) and they permit you to stay sleeping on bus to 5 a.m.Very good service.
★★★★☆ Aug 5, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Pumpkin Express) :
Very nice except 1 toilet not working
★★★★★ Aug 4, 2017 (bus VIP, Sapa Express) :
Smooth check in with free pick up at our hotel in a small minivan! Operators were good and clear, briefing was provided at the beginning of the trip. Snacks and water was provided on board.
★★★☆☆ Aug 1, 2017 (van VIP, Grouptour) :
The van went out of diesel and the driver, that was new, didn't know how to open the deposit tank. We lost half an hour. Another problem is that we had to be at 6 at the office but it was closed (and remained close after we depart). The driver didn't understand a single word in English. Just one bottle of water and that's all. Positive points: the van is really a luxury van and comfortable. The road is slow and I guess for occidental drivers will call their attention the way the Vietnamese drive. Spectacular landscapes.

★★★☆☆ Jul 12, 2017 (bus VIP Sleeper 41, Grouptour) :
Ride was good and comfortable mostly. But the aircon should've been colder and i had no headrest or blanket. Bus was neat and clean and we arrived on time (even though we departed a bit late).
★★★☆☆ Jul 11, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Orient Express) :
The train was fine, but it was not clear where at the station we had to be.
★★★★★ Jul 9, 2017 (bus VIP, Sapa Express) :
Comfortable seats, snacks and water provided, occasional rest breaks but not too many, and the driver handled the wheel well
★★★★☆ Jul 7, 2017 (bus VIP Sleeper 41, Grouptour) :
Beside of the cracky wifi connection I enjoined the trip very much :)
★★☆☆☆ Jul 4, 2017 (bus VIP Sleeper 41, Grouptour) :
The bus was leaking water on my seat and my boyfriends so we were drenched the whole journey as it was pouring very heavily. The bus driver did nothing about it.
★★★★★ Jul 3, 2017 (bus VIP, Sapa Express) :
Snelle manier om van Hanoi naar Sapa te rijden met luxe touringcar. Binnen 5.5 uur in Sapa met twee rustpauzes onderweg.
★★★☆☆ Jun 29, 2017 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, Sapaly Express) :
Nice trip. Bed comfortable. Only problems are air conditioning old system noisy and impossible to adjust and badroom very little and uncomfortable. Maybe looking other companies for more confort
★★★☆☆ Jun 22, 2017 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, Sapaly Express)
★★☆☆☆ Jun 14, 2017 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper, Sapaly Express) :
Pros - Clean cabin - Soft bed - Good staff ------------ Cons - Extremely Noisy - Very bumpy, we couldnt get any sleep at all - Tickets are way too expensive for what you get. ----------- Verdict - Get a sleeper bus, its much cheaper. The whole point of sleeper train is to get some sleep, but its pointless and impossible to do that. We took a bus ride back from sapa to hanoi during day time and it was much better and cheaper.
★★★★☆ Jun 12, 2017 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
Very easy trip, everything ran smoothly and the train was very clean/nice. The line is rocky but I slept well until we were woken up for tea/coffee about 15 mins before arriving.
★★☆☆☆ Jun 12, 2017 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :

We went to Sapa with night train of Sapaly Express. The beds ware clean. They gave us biscuts, water, coffee and te. The toilets was clean even in the morning. I recomand them. We slept very well and in the morning arrived in time in Sapa.
★★☆☆☆ Apr 21, 2017 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, Chapa Express) :
Prijs kwaliteit benaming VIP sleeper onwaardig!
★★★★☆ Apr 18, 2017 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, Sapaly Express) :
We had a return ticket to Sapa. Booking over 12go.asia was nice and easy. On the way to Sapa we were in a 8B coach ant it was brilliant, however our return coach was 8A. It was much smaller and thus not that comfortable. All in all experience was good, would recommend.
★★★★☆ Apr 15, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Pumpkin Express) :
Train was great, a real adventure. Was rocky but bed very comfortable and slept well. Toilet and washing facilities are what you'd expect on a train but sufficient. 12go.asia were great for arranging the booking but the directions to the ticket office were misleading and we struggled at the station. Glad we arrived 1.5hrs before the train.
★★★★☆ Apr 13, 2017 (train #LC3 Class II AC, Vietnam Railways) :
Easy booking system. We took the daytime train from Hanoi to Lao Cai which cost 144,000 for AC. Very comfortable; food and drinks trolley kept coming round, good selection and good prices. Toilet was acceptable; no smell!
★★★★☆ Apr 10, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Livitrans Express) :
Generally it was a good trip. The bed was quite comfortable and clean. Some snacks and water were provided. Booking was very easy. Look out for local men who walks you to the ticket office area, calls someone for your tickets and then demand 100 000 dongs for their services. Also we had a booking for particular carriage and beds, but ended up moved to another carriage as ours was full. Moreover, we had to exchange booking voucher for the actual tickets with the "help" of a local guy even though the voucher says it can be used as a ticket.
★★★★★ Apr 7, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
All went smooth. Got the tickets, printed them, no hassle at the train station. Beds were as comfortable as can be expected. Ised one of the private cars on the way back, not worth the higher price.

★★★☆☆ Mar 28, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Livitrans Express) :
the train was clean and comfortable, but at the raillstation was very difficult meet the righ train, nobady tell us information about the organization before the departure.
★★★☆☆ Mar 27, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Orient Express) :
The ride was ok and comfortable enough but if the price were lower, I were rate it higher.
★★★★☆ Mar 26, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
Sleeping beds were really comfortable. Staffs on board were very helpful too! But restroom can definitely be improved.
★★★★★ Mar 21, 2017 (bus VIP, Sapa Express) :
Very comfortable way to travel to Sapa. Wish western countries would have buses like these.
★★★★★ Mar 20, 2017 (van VIP, Grouptour) :
Very nice and comfortable! Highly recommended
★★★★★ Mar 16, 2017 (bus VIP, Sapa Express) :
By far the most comfortable transport we have had in a month of traveling SE Asia.
★★★☆☆ Mar 12, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Orient Express) :
A bit worn carriage Ok trip ran on time and managed to sleep
★★★☆☆ Mar 11, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Orient Express) :
Oriental Express excessively overpriced for what you get. Toilets dreadful.
★★☆☆☆ Feb 20, 2017 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
I purchased a 2 bed VIP on sp4 and got put on car #13 last one. the train very old the door would not shut properly and it had 4 beds.I would not recommend Go Asia to book with.
12Go response:

Dear Catherine Fraser

We apologize for any misunderstanding but 2 bed VIP berths do not exist and we make this clear with pictures of the cabin and the following note which is shown during the booking process and on the receipt you receive:

IMPORTANT: On Vietnam Railways 1st Class Sleepers are 'soft' beds with four (4) berths per cabin. VIP
Sleepers with 2 berths per cabin are ONLY on the privately run railway cars.

★★★★★ Feb 11, 2017 (bus VIP, Sapa Express) :
Goede bus met lekkere brede stoelen. Een verademing tov andere bussen.
★★★★★ Feb 10, 2017 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, King Express)
★★☆☆☆ Feb 9, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Orient Express) :
The train ride itself was not too bad. Would recommend paying extra and getting a private sleeper cabin if you are two people. The four sleeper cabins looked very cramped. Trying to find the place to collect tickets was a pain as there is more than one train station although only one train line. Most taxi drivers will take you to the wrong train station so make sure to show them the address.
★★★☆☆ Feb 5, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
Very easy to book. Beds are quite hard and loud music was played randomly throughout the entire journey. Night trains are always an interesting experience! However it was an easy and reasonably comfortable way to travel.
★★★★★ Feb 3, 2017 (bus VIP, Sapa Express) :
Comfortable busses, good price, two stops between Hanoi and Sapa. Free pick up in the Old Quarter.
★★★★★ Jan 31, 2017 (bus VIP, Sapa Express) :
Most comfortable bus ever! And I have seen many of those. It's almost like Business class seats. Good service as well. Great trip especially in Asia.
★★★★★ Jan 27, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
It was a good, on time service. The train, bedding, toilet and wash area were all clean. Lighting is good. We were in a compartment for 4 people but one of the other beds was not used at all, and someone came on the 3rd bed for just a few hours, so mostly we had the compartment to ourselves which was nice. The beds are not quite long enough for moderately tall westerners, but we are in Asia so that is understandable. If someone is very tall then I think they might want to be aware of this.

Really good, great seats, got a snack and it was quick :)
★★★★★ Jan 15, 2017 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
Quite apart from the fact that buying train tickets was 10x easier through this site than if I had had to do it myself (I don't speak Vietnamese), the information provided with the ticket was so helpful with directions to the station etc.
★★☆☆☆ Jan 15, 2017 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, King Express) :
Very small hardly any space, lack of room for suitcases. The toilets were disgusting. People in the next cabin were very noisy for hours into the night. Very shaky train and lots of stops. We booked 2 lower berths and one top berth but another person said they had a lower berth. Thankfully they let us have the lower beds. The good thing was the bed was comfortable. Staff very nice.

★★★★☆ Dec 30, 2016 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, King Express)
★★★☆☆ Dec 26, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
Booking process smooth and easy. Train was fine. Slept well. Bathroom was bad.
★★☆☆☆ Dec 24, 2016 (bus VIP Sleeper 41, Grouptour) :
Ticket office turned into a bar/restaurant so was unsure that we were even catching a bus. We were then collected an hour before stated ticket exchange time so lucky we were early. A man on a scooter then took us to three locations before we were in the right spot and caught bus. Bus facilities and ride was good but arrived at 4am and remained at the bus stop until 6am with no instructions. Only 'toilet' stop on the way was the side of a main road.
★★★★★ Dec 23, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
Beds not soft (average in Vietnam) Cabin, toilets, beds and blankets CLEAN.
★★★★☆ Dec 21, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways)
★★★☆☆ Dec 15, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Fanxipan) :
As expected, not luxe, cabin was ok, but the toilet was terrible.
★★★☆☆ Dec 11, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
Good, reliable service. Cabin clean, bed not too comfortable. Difficult to sleep because of jolting of train.
★★★☆☆ Dec 1, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Orient Express) :
Cabin was the old wooden style, but was a 4 berth used for 2 people rather than a dedicated 2 berth. Toilets could be cleaned more often! Station location not clearly described on the booking. Good quality but somewhat overpriced.
★★★★★ Nov 20, 2016 (van VIP, Grouptour) :
Vers nice trip good driver and on time.
★★★★★ Nov 7, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Orient Express) :
12goasia were great. I was a little worried but had no need to be. Train from Hanoi to Lao Cai was very comfortable. Had a pretty good sleep. Take ear plugs and you should be OK. Even the toilet was acceptable.
★★★★★ Nov 4, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Orient Express) :
Everything went perfect. Comfortable clean bed, easy to sleep. Complementary cookies and water offered.
★★★★☆ Oct 24, 2016 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper, King Express)
★★★★★ Oct 21, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Orient Express) :
Comfortable, clean. No delays. Lovely experience!
★★★★☆ Oct 20, 2016 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, Sapaly Express) :
We found this trip comfortable and quite well-appointed, but the food service was rather perfunctory. The single gripe we have would be difficult for Sapaly to eliminate: an elephantine snoring performance from a co-traveller! Whadyado at midnight, after nearly 2 hours of that? Well, I let him have it, banged the wall near his head to scare the s*** out of him, then verbally balled him out, Another co-traveller thought me heavy-handed, but - in a shared space - I reckon it's entirely up to the snorer to change his ways - go for a walk, get advice re his problem, whatever. Anyway, it fixed the problem (for 3 hours; then I was getting ready to start chucking light missiles... but the journey ended...)
★★★★☆ Oct 5, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Fanxipan) :
The Restop may not be that easy to find to change the tickets, but otherwise an overall very good trip!
★★★★☆ Oct 3, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
Everything ok, but beds wasn't as soft as they supposed to be.
★★★★☆ Sep 2, 2016 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, King Express) :
Clean and soft bed. Good bed! Trains shakes a lot.
★★★☆☆ Aug 18, 2016 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways)
★★★☆☆ Aug 15, 2016 (train #SP1 VIP Sleeper 4x, Livitrans Express) :
I put 3 stars because in our cabin we haven't welcome pack ( water, bananas and cookies ). The rest was ok
★★★★☆ Aug 15, 2016 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways) :
Train was a little old, but nothing you couldn't handle. Beds were provided with linen and pillow, and the seemed clean. The only issue is that the train moves so much on that line, much more than the line Hue-Hanoi, for example. However, the AC was on all night long, so the temperature was OK and I could sleep almost al the trip.
★★★★☆ Aug 10, 2016 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper, Vietnam Railways)
★★★★☆ Aug 6, 2016 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, King Express) :
Clean and soft matrasses. Coffee or tea. Clean toilet. Bad sleep because train was shaking too much and making a lot of noise
★★★★★ Aug 5, 2016 (train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, Sapaly Express) :
Very nice trip! Comfortable and clean. 5 stars!
